Rachel's Rescuer

REVIEWS

Roxann Delaney warms our hearts with this tender story of a bitter man and a frightened woman and their second chance at love.

~~4 Stars Romantic Times Magazine

From the first sentence in the book, the reader is hooked. Roxann Delaney has done a masterful job of creating characters who are believable and sympathetic.

Roxann Delaney has another Silhouette Romance book coming out later this year. After reading RACHEL'S RESCUER, I'll be waiting impatiently for her next release!

~~Martine Bates, Heart Rate Reviews

Rachel's Rescuer is a warm-hearted story of two emotionally scarred people thrown together by fate but discovering that each can offer something the other desperately needs.

The plot delivers exactly what category romance readers expect, and does it in a way that makes the characters' struggles so real and immediate it might be a good idea to have the tissue box handy for the very satisfying conclusion.

~~Karen McCullough, Scribes World

Rachel's Rescuer is Roxann Delaney's first novel, and to her I say, "Well done!" Lucas Callahan is a real cowboy -- he doesn't back down from trouble, looks life straight in the eye and has a heart as big as all outdoors where women and children are concerned. He's a man everyone would want in their corner.

Rachel Harris is a mother first, but no less a woman. She is willing to protect her son at all cost, and in this case that means marriage to a man she's just met. And when she discovers just how much this marriage and the man have come to mean to her, she is willing to walk away if that's what Lucas really wants.

Ms. Delaney has given both of these characters virtues and faults, imbuing the book a wonderful sense of realism without losing the fantasy aspect. A strong debut, I look forward to her next book.

~~Lynda Yorke, The Romance Journal

Roxann Delaney's debut book, RACHEL'S RESCUER is an irresistible read. I immediately fell into the story as I read the first page. Lucas is such a softy, though you can see he tried to act tough, and watching him with Rachel and Cody just tugged at my heartstrings. Here is a guy who would do all that he could to keep what has become very important to him close. Rachel is like every mother who lives for her child; she will do anything to keep him, and falling in love with Lucas completes who she is. I highly recommend curling up on your favorite chair with a cup of hot chocolate and RACHEL'S RESCUER for a delightful read on any cold day.
