After Becca Tyler's husband deserts her, money issues force her to move to the outskirts of town with her three small children. When her car breaks down on a dark and stormy night, she's rescued by Nick Morelli, her high school boyfriend. He offers her a job but he doesn't tell her that he's her new landlord -- the property developer who just bought her house. As Becca falls in love with Nick again, he wonders if he'll be able to keep his secret and her love to make a Family by Design (4). Roxann Delaney's turbulent tale of two lovers trying to make things right, but not always succeeding the way that they'd planned, is a winner. The antics of Becca's children and Nick's extended family are great!

Family By Design was a joyful romp of a read that kept me up past my bedtime. I couldn't put it down - I had to read all of it.

This is a fun second chance at love tale due to the zany support characters, her children and best friend, and his family. Their good intelligent design of matchmaking seems to keep the lead couple from each other's arms rather than bring them together. Readers will enjoy love on the Great Plains. ~~Harriet Klausner |
